Privacy
In short
- Other players only see your preferred name, your flag and, after the reveal, your scores.
- Your full name and email are only for sending your tickets.
- Dietary needs are deleted right after the event.
- No tracking cookies, so no cookie banner.
- You can see, correct or delete your data at any time.
Andee runs Games Day as a private individual in Ireland and is responsible for your data (the "controller"). Contact: hello@playgamesday.com, Dublin.
- Preferred name and country. To run the day: they appear on your bib, teams and the scoreboard. We use them to carry out our agreement with you (your ticket).
- Full name and email. We use them to send your tickets and to reach you about the day. Same legal basis: your ticket.
- Dietary needs. Optional, to plan the food. Allergies count as health data, so we only store them with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Contributions. If you chip in by card, we keep the amount, the date and the card's brand and last four digits for your receipt and our records. Stripe handles the payment, and we never see your card number. If you chip in through Revolut, the money goes straight to Andee's Revolut account, which shows your name and any note, as with any transfer. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping accounts, and the law on keeping payment records.
- Check-in times, teams, results and points. To run the tournament and keep a record of how points were scored.
- Other players: your preferred name, flag, teams and match-ups. Scores only once the scoreboard is revealed.
- Everyone: the list of participating countries, with player counts but no names.
- Services that process data for us: Stripe (card payments), Supabase (database, hosted in Ireland), Brevo (emails) and Vercel (hosting). Some of them may process data outside the EEA under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
- Dietary needs: deleted right after the event.
- Full name and email: deleted at the latest 30 days after the event.
- Contributions: kept for as long as the law requires for payment records. Stripe keeps its own records for as long as the law requires it to.
- Preferred names, countries and scores: kept as the record of the tournament. Ask us and we'll remove yours.
We only use cookies the app needs to work: your player pass, the admin login, and Stripe's fraud prevention when you pay by card. There are no analytics or advertising cookies, so there's no cookie banner.
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email hello@playgamesday.com. You can also complain to Ireland's Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Under-18s come with an adult, who gives their details when getting their ticket.
